Dev Mahadevan is highly regarded within his field. His primary clinical focus is the treatment of ankle and foot conditions utilising state-of-the-art evidence-based surgical techniques. ​His transparent approach makes him a preferred provider for all major insurers including as a Platinum BUPA provider. His surgical outcomes are submitted to the BOFAS registry and are publicly accessible via the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN).

 

Dev graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in medicine. He subsequently completed his specialist orthopaedic training within the East Midlands Deanery. Upon obtaining his qualification as an orthopaedic surgeon, he pursued advanced subspecialty fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the esteemed Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol. In 2015, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Dev Mahadevan is passionate about mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He holds faculty positions in several esteemed orthopaedic courses, including the internationally recognised 'British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Principles Course'. He has presented surgical techniques at international conferences and served as a guest speaker at numerous international webinars and symposia. Additionally, he assumes the role of educational supervisor for several orthopaedic surgical trainees undergoing training at Royal Berkshire Hospital. Notably, he has received three nominations for the Trainer of the Year award from orthopaedic trainees affiliated with the Oxford and North West London deaneries.

Personal Interests

​

Outside of work, Dev enjoys travelling, keeping fit and supporting Liverpool FC. In his younger years, he was a competitive track and field athlete and enjoyed his racquet sports.​
